GOLFLER Awarded Top Buyers’ Choice Award at 2015 PGA Fashion & Demo Experience

Detroit tech start-up recognized for growth potential and product innovation

DETROIT (August 28, 2015) – Quickly making its mark on the industry, GOLFLER, a Detroit-based tech start-up, has been awarded the Top Buyers’ Choice Award at the 2015 PGA Fashion & Demo Experience. Held in Las Vegas, Nevada at the Cascata Golf Club and Venetian Conference Center from Monday, August 17 through Thursday, August 20, the conference serves as the foremost event in the industry to showcase the latest in golf apparel, accessories, equipment and technology. GOLFLER President Jason Pearsall accepted the award, which recognizes new exhibitors that show growth potential and innovation, on behalf of GOLFLER, LLC.

“To receive an honor like the Top Buyers’ Choice award from an organization as influential as the Professional Golf Association has been an incredible achievement for our team,” said Jason Pearsall, president and chief legal officer of GOLFLER. “This is only the start of great things to come, and we’re excited to continue expansion of the application to bring a full integration of technology to the game for both players and courses nationwide.”

Participation in the event overall produced positive results for the team. Following a live demo on the Cascata course the first day, GOLFLER received tremendous initial feedback from industry

professionals regarding the application’s ease of use and potential to revolutionize the game. During exhibition, the company’s booth remained busy throughout the conference, offering a drawing for a free tablet, free beverage koozies, snacks and beverages, as well as a visit from the GOLFLER Gopher who entertained visitors and walked around the exhibition floor. Three courses – two in Hawaii and one in Nevada – signed up for full integration on the spot.

One of more than 200 companies to exhibit at the event, GOLFLER was selected as the Top Buyers’ Choice award winner out of approximately 50 new products showcased this year. Award recipients were chosen by a distinguished panel of influential PGA professionals and merchandisers.

The 2015 PGA Fashion & Demo Experience served as GOLFLER’s first exhibition since its development in March. Attracting more than 40,000 attendees from 48 U.S. states and 26 countries annually, the convention hosts PGA professionals, golf buyers and industry leaders for a three-day event that offers educational workshops, hands-on demos and a live fashion show. Notable speakers at this year’s show included Bob Baldassari, director of youth development for the PGA of America; Desane Blaney, executive director and chief executive officer of the Association of Golf Merchandisers; Michael Hebron, PGA Hall of Fame inductee; and Robin Shelton, PGA Master Professional; among others.
